Hewitt Chiltern

New for 2008 our new Chiltern is essentially an audax version of our award winning Cheviot touring frame, the geometery of the main triangle is the same as the Cheviot, with the chainstays being shorter.
The Chiltern is set up for longer reach brakes to accomodate tyres up to 28mm with clearance for mudguards. The headtube is 1 1/8" non intergrated, double bottle bosses are fitted on the seat tube and down tube, there are gear lever bosses on the down tube to give plenty of options, loops are fitted to the head tube to avoid damage to the paintwork from the cables rubbing. There are the standard brake cable stops under the top tube and gear cable guides under the bottom bracket with a stop under the right hand chainstay. There are an extra set of eyes on the rear ends and eyes on the seat stays to accomodate a rear carrier, there are threaded bosses in the brake and chainstay bridges to allow direct fitting of the rear mudguard and avoid the need for untidy mudguard bridges. The tubing is Reynolds 631 with an oversized downtube to increase rigidity, the rear triangle is Reynolds 525 as are the forks. Plain colour finish to custoers choice, other paint finishes are available at an extra cost.

Chiltern frame and forks £399.99
